Russia will share with Iran experience in suppressing mass protests

Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov met in Tehran with the head of the judiciary Iran Golyam Hosein Mokhseni Ezhei and advocated the “exchange of experience” between countries in the suppression of protests. Krasnov called this the fight against attempts to “destabilize the domestic situation from outside”, Russian media reports.

According to the prosecutor general of the Russian Federation, this is relevant, since the countries have a “community of views on world problems and uniform approaches to overcoming them”, and Russia in the arsenal – “effective legislation and tactics that allow us to effectively resist” protests.

In December, Iran turned to Russia for help in suppressing protests and asked to provide equipment to combat them, as well as send advisers to study, reported the Iran International TV channel with reference to secret documents.
