The Netherlands Foreign Ministry called Russia’s ambassador to the Hague Alexander Shulgin against the backdrop of pseudo -referendums on the accession of Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions of Ukraine to Russia, Russian media write.
The ministry emphasized their refusal to recognize the results of the “voting” in the above -mentioned areas and said that “referendums” would not have political force.
At the same time, the Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde for a similar reason called Viktor Tatarintsev to the Ministry of Ambassador of Russia in Stockholm.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today caused an ambassador of Russia to condemn the illegal attempt to annexation of the territory of Ukraine. This unacceptable violation of international law. Sweden is unshakably supported by Ukraine,” Linde wrote on its Twitter.
