Russian diplomat at UN resigned because of war in Ukraine

A Russian Permanent Representative Office at the UN in Geneva Boris Bondarev announced his resignation because of the war with Ukraine. According to him, during the diplomatic service he had never been so ashamed of his country and work.

“The unleashed war with Ukraine, and in fact with the whole Western world, is not only a crime against the Ukrainian people, but, perhaps, the most serious crime against the people of Russia,” Radio quoted him as saying.

Bondarev, according to the Site of the UN Department in Geneva, held the position of adviser in a permanent representative office. According to him, he was in the diplomatic service for 20 years.

“Unfortunately, all these twenty years the level of lies and unprofessionalism in the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs increased all the time,” said the diplomat.

According to Bondarev, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is no longer engaged in diplomacy, but “sows lies, incitement and war.”

“Russia no more allies left,” he wrote, explaining this to the aggressive policy of Moscow.
