“The tourist capital” of Turkey – Antalya adopted in 2024 the largest number of tourists in history – more than 17 million. Such data are given by the Office for Culture and Tourism of Antalya.
The number of tourists who arrived in Antalya for 12 months of 2024 increased by 8 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. In general, the “tourist capital” of Turkey visited 17 million 278 thousand 103 tourists.
The largest stream of tourists in the period in question was recorded from Russia – 3 million 909 thousand 960 visitors. This is followed by Germany with 3 million 517 thousand 589 visitors and Great Britain with 1 million 574 thousand 67 visitors, and then Poland, Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Romania, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Lithuania.
In addition, historical success was achieved according to the number of Turkish citizens who arrived in Antalya abroad. For the first time, the number of Turkish citizens who arrived in the region from abroad exceeded the line of 1 million people, reaching 1 million 11 thousand 99.
