Russian Federation Hopes For Maintaining Interaction With India In Fuel And Energy Sector

Russia expects to maintain the level of relations in the fuel and energy sector achieved with India. This was stated by TASS Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Pavel Sorokin, who takes part in the Indian Energy Week.

“We expect to maintain our relationship and maintain interaction,” said Sorokin, answering the question of the supply of oil to India.

“We consider sanctions an illegitimate and illegal tool and build our relations taking into account existing restrictions, but in bilateral format. We are grateful to our partners for the existing interaction,” he added.

The share of Russian oil in Indian imports today is 40%.
