Russian military was sentenced to life for murder of a civilian resident of Ukraine

In Kyiv, the court sentenced the Russian military Vadim Shishimarin to a life imprisonment for the murder of an unarmed resident of the Sumy region Alexander Shelipov.

“Medusa” reports that Shishimarin was accused of violating the laws and customs of war combined with intentional murder. In court, he found himself guilty and asked for forgiveness from the victim’s widow, saying that she did not want to kill Shelipov and shot him at the request of the officer. The lawyer asked the defendant to justify the defendant.

According to the evidence that sounded in court, on February 28, the column in which Shishimarin was traveling, fell under fire. Trying to hide, he and several other servicemen captured a passenger car, simultaneously breaking her wheel. On the way, they saw on the sidelines a man who spoke on the phone. Considering that he could inform the Ukrainian military about them, the other military ordered Shishimarin to kill him, and he shot him from the machine gun from the car window.
