Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the title of Colonel General Commander of the Eastern Military District (VVO) Rustam Muradov.
This is stated in the decree of the head of state, published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
by decree of the Russian President, the title of colonel general was also awarded to the commander of the Western Military District (ZHO) Evgeny Nikiforov.
Muradov was the first commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
