In the Baku Court of Crime, the trial ended with the 33-year-old resident Baku Farid Rzakhanov, accused of intentionally causing serious harm to health, as well as in storage of narcotic drugs.
According to haqqin.az, the incident occurred on September 8 last year in the village of Keschl. The accused spent the money given to him by Mejidbek Vokyilov to transfer Rzakhanov’s brother, in custody. During the dispute, Rzakhanov inflicted stab wounds to Vokailov. During the search, the police found him a bag of methamphetamine.
The accused Rzakhanov found himself guilty of the charges against him. Although he admitted that the drugs found with him belonged to him, he said that he had not beat anyone with a knife.
Rzakhanov’s testimony to the investigation and in court contradicted, therefore the testimonies of the defendant, given to him during the investigation, were announced.
During the investigation, Rzakhanov stated that he suffered from nervous disorders, he used to live in Ukraine. After the death of his parents, he returned to Baku and lived in the house with his brother Hajibek: “I used drugs for two or three years. My brother Gadzhibek was arrested for beating. A few days ago, Medjidbek came to me and said that my brother needed money. Medjidbek gave me 150 manatov and ordered to transfer Hajibek.
Medjidbek, having learned that I did not give the money to my brother, called and began to threaten me. I got angry, took an ax and a knife from the house and went to the bridge that at the transition from the village of Montin to Kashl. He called Medjidbek, but he did not answer. That day, walking in the park, I saw Medjidbek and his relative Huseyn. Medjidbek called me a drug addict and scolded me. Huseyn tried to reassure him. When Medjidbek came up to me, I hit him with a knife. “
It is curious that the victim Medjidbek Vekilov said in his statement that Farid did not inflict stab wounds on him, that they had reconciled, he had no complaints. However, the court criticized the victim’s statement, regarding him as an attempt to save the accused from criminal liability.
by a court decision, Farid Rzakhanov, was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months in prison. He was prescribed forced treatment for drug addiction.
