Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and Forced Migrants Rzshan Rzayev met with newly elected members of the Public Council at the Committee.
Chairman of the Committee congratulated the members of the Council and wished them success in further activities.
R.Rzaev said that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev in our country, reforms were carried out in all areas, including in the field of working with refugees and internally displaced persons, and as a result of victory in the 44-day Patriotic War in these categories of citizens There was an opportunity to return to native land. It was noted that the absolute majority of internally displaced persons dreams soon to return to their native land, on behalf of the head of state, preparations are underway for a large return, for this purpose large-scale events are carried out. The Chair stressed that the new composition of the Public Council began its activities in such a responsible time. He noticed that in order to achieve an effective organization of public participation in the development and implementation of state policy in the field of working with forced settlements, all support will be provided to the Committee.
Newly elected members of the Public Council said that they would act in accordance with the current legislation and the requirements of the head of state, to work effectively with refugees and forced migrants, as well as take an active part in their enlightenment and protect their legitimate interests.
After the meeting, the first meeting of the Public Council in the new composition took place. Anar Khalilov, Deputy Chairman-Hachira Veliyev, Secretary-Samira Huseynova, was elected Chairman of the Public Council.
