Former president of Georgia and ex-governor of the Odessa region, Mikhail Saakashvili, said that foreign investors consider Ukraine a “kidal state”. RIA Novosti reports.
According to the politician, there is no foreign investment in the Ukrainian state, their share in the country’s GDP is less than 2%, even less than 0.2%.
He added that this is not something abstract, but real money, which is necessary to provide jobs in the country.
“But this is not. Why not? Because nobody likes a scam. Ukraine, Ukrainian officials, the state have a clear reputation for this scam. They throw everyone away,” Saakashvili said.
According to the former governor of the Odessa region, the main problem for investors is that in Ukraine they are “robbed to the bone”.
“If you are stupid enough to come here, you will not get out of here whole. Even if you took back some of what you invested, you are a very happy person,” the politician summed up.
