The Ministry of Justice of Georgia decided to transport the former Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili from prison to the Vivamed private clinic for medical examinations, the head of the Ministry of Justice Rati Breadze said at a briefing.
“We, as a responsible state, always act on the basis of the interests of the health and life of any person. Accordingly, as in the case of any other prisoners, in order to avoid possible complications, Mikhail Saakashvili will be made to be transported to the Vivamed Clinic, where It is examined and prescribed treatment, ”TASS quotes Breadze.
The head of the Ministry of Justice added that such a decision is made due to the fact that Saakashvili partially refuses drug treatment in prison, and also selectively takes food.
