A college meeting was held at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sakhil Babayev noted that with the signing of today the President Ilham Aliyev ordered a new stage of social reforms in the country began. He stressed that the signed orders will provide important steps towards strengthening social protection of the population, increasing social benefits.
The Minister said that according to the president signed by the President of new orders, since the beginning of next year the minimum wage in the country will increase from 250 to 300 manat, and this will affect 800 thousand working. Also increased the salary of 165 thousand employees of state general education and professional educational institutions and 4 thousand employees of a number of budgetary organizations. In other words, the orders signed today will be supported by social protection about 1 million people.
S. Babaev stressed that an important aspect of a significant increase in social benefits in the country over the past four years is wages. Taking into account the current increase, the minimum wage for this period increased by 2.3 times. The average monthly wage increased by 37%, and the average salary – by 74%.
It was noted that the number of employment contracts increased by 30% over the past four years.
As a result, all these positive processes allowed for the past four years to increase the payroll fund for 92%, and next year this figure will increase even.
In general, the disposal of President Ilham Aliyev “On additional measures to protect the social well-being of the population” of October 16, 2021, there was a new stage of social reforms in Azerbaijan. The new stage of reform will cover more than 2.1 million people, at this stage of reforms it is planned to additionally separate another 1.5 billion manat per year.
During the meeting, the assertion of the production calendar for 2022, the creation of children’s rehabilitation centers in the Gabala and Shamkirsky districts, the activities of the Center for Inclusive Development and Dost Creativity, the work done on the reception of citizens and consideration of their appeals, as well as the upcoming tasks.
