Scholz confirmed: Germany will reduce consumption of Russian gas

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in an interview with Bild edition stated that his country plans to significantly reduce gas consumption from Russia and even abandon him.

According to the head of the German government, two terminals for obtaining and regasifying liquefied gas will be built in Germany. He added that the country will also create a strategic gas reserve.

“We will change the course in order to overcome our dependence on individual suppliers in the issue of energy imports,” said Olaf Scholz.

He also assured that Russia will pay a greater price for the beginning of the war in Ukraine.
