Astronomers discovered the “largest” black hole in the stellar mass in the Galaxy Milky Way. An object, which is called Gaia BH3, is 33 times higher than the mass of the sun.
The study under the GAIA mission was carried out by astronomers of the European Space Agency (ECA) in cooperation with researchers of the University College of London (UCL).
an object found at a distance of about 2,000 light years from the ground could not be seen directly. Similar celestial bodies arise as a result of gravitational collapse of large stars.
Astronomer from the Paris Observatory of the National Center for Scientific Research of France (CNRS) Paskual Panuzzo said that such a discovery can be made “once in his life.”
Meanwhile, the researcher of the University College of London (UCL) George Sibruk noted that the GAIA-BH3 is the “largest black hole” of the star mass found at the moment. This discovery is important for astronomers, ”he said.
