Scientists of the Moscow State Psychological and Pedagogical University found out how quarantine affects the biopsychological age of a person. The study has published a modern foreign psychology magazine.
Scientists for a long period analyzed the biopsychological age of people, that is, the general condition of a person, its somatic and psychological health, as well as the ratio of personal and physical characteristics with age norms. To describe the biopsychological state, two scales were used: biological age and psychological age.
“The study showed that after half a year of quarantine events, most of the working respondents felt subjectively younger than their calendar age and younger than felt a year ago, to Quarantine,” the words of Professor of the Department of Scientific Funds of Extreme Psychology of the Faculty “Extreme Psychology” MGPU Tatyana Berezina.
Women adults felt younger for 3.3 years, women-pensioners – for 7.2 years, adult men – by 6.8 years old, retired men – for 4.7 years.
