SCO countries can switch to calculations in national currency

The Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization can switch to calculations in national currencies. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a meeting of the ministers of the SCO Foreign Affairs in Tashkent.

According to the Russian Foreign Minister, two documents will be signed at the meeting: the concept of interconnectedness of transport corridors and a roadmap to expand the use of national currencies in mutual settlements. Sergey Lavrov called the road map a very significant document. He will play an important role for further cooperation of the SCO countries.

Now the SCO includes India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
