Former Chancellor of Austria, 35-year-old Sebastian Kurtz finally announced care from politics, reports Kronen Zeitung.
“The former Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz will soon leave the political life soon. His post of head of the Austrian People’s Party, most likely, will take the Minister of the Interior of Karl Nehammer,” the publication says.
Recall that for the first time Kurtz was elected to the Austria Parliament in 2013, and later he headed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, becoming the most young minister in the history of Austria. In 2017, at early elections to the Austrian Bundestag, the AHP party, headed by Kursse, won and he became Chancellor of Austria. At that time he was only 31 years old.
Kurtz resigned from the post of Chancellor on October 9, 2021 against the background of the investigation of the anti-corruption prosecutor’s office.
