Former Finland Prime Minister Alexander Stubb and ex-head of the Foreign Ministry of Beijing Haavisto reached the second round of the presidential elections in the country.
None of the candidates for the post of head of state was able to gain 50% of the vote in the first round, held on January 28.
According to unofficial results, Stubb gained 27.2% of the vote during the first round of elections, and Haavisto – 25.8%.
The speaker of the Finland Parliament Jussia Hall-Aho finished the third with 19% of the vote. This is followed by the general director of Finland, Olli Ren, who gained 15.3% of the vote
The second round of the presidential election in Finland will be held on February 11th.
