Last week, Haqqin.az wrote about the resonant murder of a native of Azerbaijan Roman Govasari, who worked as a taxi driver in Russia. The man was killed by Russian troops as a result of a dispute about Ukraine.
The murder was so cruel and meaningless that all Russian, Ukrainian and even Western media wrote about it.
RTVI journalists managed to find the family of Roman Govasari and find out new details of the murder. The son of a man killed by a military man does not believe that his father could start a dispute about politics and, especially about Ukraine. Govasari 51-year-old Roman, according to his son, was a categorically apolitical person.
“We never discussed politics at home. Father could watch TV, but exclusively cinema and series. He was never interested in the news,” says the guy.
Roman Govasari moved from Azerbaijan to the Rostov region after the collapse of the USSR. He lived in Russia for 32 years.
According to the story of Govasari Jr., his father was a hard worker. Basically, he was engaged in construction, in the evenings he could have fus. In August, Govasari Sr. sent his family to the sea, and he himself remained at home – to work. On the evening of August 14, relatives called Roman at the feast, but he decided to go to Rostov.
“At one in the morning I talked with my father. He was at Aunt. He said: I already left for the city, I will ride a little – and home. A hour and a half, my uncle calls me, in shock, screaming, in tears, says that the father was killed, – as the son of the murdered describes the development of events.
Under what circumstances, the captain from the Moscow Region attacked a 51-year-old driver, even his family does not know yet. According to Roman Jr., everyone could clarify the recordings from video surveillance cameras, but the investigation is being engaged in them so far.
