Senators ask Biden to give Ukraine Grey Eagle

A group of US senators, which included both Republicans and Democrats, called on Biden’s administration to reconsider its decision not to provide Ukraine with MQ-1C advanced drones, or Grey Eagle, writes The Wall Street Journal.

These UAVs can help Kyiv hold its territory and gain momentum on the battlefield, the publication says.

“The long -term benefit of the provision of MQ -1C is significant and can change the strategic course of the war in favor of Ukraine,” American lawmakers noted.

According to them, the operational characteristics of Grey Eagle will be able to supplement existing weapons used by the Ukrainian military.

In addition, a group of congressmen is confident that the training of Ukrainian soldiers to use the MQ-1C drones manufactured by General Atomics will take only 27 days. Such drones will enable the Armed Forces of Ukraine to find and attack Russian warships in the Black Sea. This, in turn, will weaken pressure on the Ukrainian economy and reduce food prices in the world.
