South Korea is ready to allocate the DPRK a package of economic assistance if Pyongyang refuses the program for creating nuclear weapons. This was stated by President of South Korea Yun Sok Yol during a ceremony dedicated to release from the Japanese occupation, KTV reports.
“The bold initiative that I foresee will significantly improve the economy of North Korea and the standard of living of its people in stages if the North stops the development of its nuclear program and begins the true and significant process of denuclearization,” said the South Korean leader.
Earlier, Yun Sok Yol has already made such an offer for the DPRK during his inaugural speech.
