“Pentagon plans to start training Ukrainian pilots on F -16 fighters in the United States next month,” the newspaper informs.
The source specified that the pilots will first teach English in Texas, and then begin many months of flight training in Arizona.
Last week, the American presidential adviser Jake Sullivan said that the United States is ready to approve the transfer of F-16 from third countries after training Ukrainian pilots.
For his part, the White House representative John Kirby previously stated that the United States is ready to provide its territory to prepare Ukrainian pilots for F-16 fighters if European allies exhaust their capabilities in this area.
On August 24, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Portugal agreed on its territory to train Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters.
