Sergey Shoigu In Tehran Met With President Of Iran

Iranian President Masud Kiteshkian accepted the Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergey Shoigu and they discussed, including the implementation of bilateral agreements.

According to this information, during the meeting, Cyeshkin called for accelerating the implementation of such agreements.

He also stated that “Cooperation of Iran and Russia to promote a multipolar world will necessarily lead to the promotion of global security and the world.”

The President noted that Iran considers the development of relations with Moscow as “one of the priority areas of foreign policy.”

Sergey Shoigu, in turn, called Iran “one of the key and strategic allies in the region” for Russia. He also said that the relations of the two countries develop in all areas and have good prospects.

Secretary of the Russian Security Council Shoigu is in Iran with a planned working trip. He met with the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Akbar Ahmadian and the chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces by Mohammad Bagheri.
