May 10 in Strasbourg, the 57th meeting of the Special Committee of the Council of Europe on Work with the World Anti-Doping Agency (Cahama) was held in Strasbourg.
The meeting was made by the Director of the National Anti -Doping Agency of Azerbaijan (AMADA), speaker of the Council of Europe on gender equality of Shafag Huseynli. The director of AMADA informed the participants in the meeting about the activities headed by her and established in the Council of Europe a special committee on gender equality, reported the formation of the composition of the committee and determine the course of its activities. It should be noted that the special committee was established in order to support the implementation of the project “Strengthening gender equality in the field of combating doping”, the initiator of which is Shafag Huseynli.
After the report was completed, the elections of the European Council for Gender equality for the next term were held. The participants again nominated the candidacy of Shafag Huseynli, and she was re -elected to this position for the next two years.
Note that the director of Amada was first elected as a speaker of the Council of Europe on gender equality in 2019. Speakers on gender equality, prescribed within the framework of the intergovernmental bodies and other structures of the Council of Europe, are working to determine the ways of including the concept of gender equality in the workflow, policy, program and activity of the corresponding body or structure.
