The turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran in nine months of this year increased by 22 percent compared to the same period last year, said in Tehran at a meeting with the Minister of Roads and Urban Planning Iran, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafaev.
According to him, the turnover increased despite the fact that over the past two years, the coronavirus pandemic has had a negative impact on the economy of the countries.
Mustafayev noted that at present, the working groups of Azerbaijan and Iran work on a preferential trade document between the two countries. “The issues of the development of trade relations between Azerbaijan and Iran are discussed. There are joint projects in the field of energy, electricity, which are already completed. Cooperation with Iran in the production of auto parts is possible. We can also cooperate with Iran in the field of agricultural machinery. Two thousand Iranian companies are registered in Azerbaijan. And implemented successful projects, “said Deputy Prime Minister.
According to him, the corridor North – South from Iran to Azerbaijan and Russia is one of the projects that both countries work.
