Azerbaijan has already begun work to create an energy corridor of Azerbaijan-Sturge-Europe, said the Minister of Energy Parviz Shakhbazov. It is reported by “Interfax-Azerbaijan.”
“The Zangezur corridor is able to connect Europe with Asia not only through transport communications, but also energy. The route Zangezurian Corridor-Nachivanskaya Autonomous Republic-Sturge-Europe will allow us to export green electricity. We have already begun work in this direction,” said Shahbazov.
Shakhbazov emphasized that in this context the creation of an international energy node in Dzhebrail is an “important strategic event.”
It was previously reported that the Azerbaijani government plans to complete the creation of the Azerbaijan-Sturge-European Energy Corridor by 2027. The implementation of the project is planned to be implemented in three stages.
