Azerbaijan, Shakhin Mustafaev, Deputy Prime Minister of October 20, met with Iran Vice President, chairman of the Iranian Environmental Protection Organization, Ali Seladge, the Cabinet said.
The meeting noted a high level of political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Iran, the successful development of fraternal and friendly relations in the political, trade and economic spheres, areas of transport, transit, energy, culture, environment, etc.
Mustafaev and Seladgege emphasized that the opening of transport communications in the region creates ample opportunities for cooperation.
It was also noted that Azerbaijan is taking consistent measures to minimize the negative impact of the Caspian Sea on the environment. The parties noted the importance of combining the efforts of the Caspian states to solve environmental problems. The concern was also expressed by pollution by Azraz River Armenia, and the need for joint efforts to protect the environment of the river was given to attention.
