The Belarusian delegation, led by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Sergei Lukashevich, met with the president of the new BRICS Development Bank, President of Brazil in 2011 – 2016 Dilma Rusoff.
According to Thursday, on January 23, the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, the meeting took place at the headquarters of the new BRICS development bank in the city of Shanghai in the PRC.
The delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus and OJSC “Bank for the Development of the Republic of Belarus”.
The parties discussed the development of financial mechanisms within the framework of the BRICS, as well as the prospects for the accession of Belarus to the new BRICS development bank.
Lukashevich also visited the East Chinese Pedagogical University, where he met with the leadership of the university, got acquainted with the work of the Belarusian Research Center at the University, and also discussed issues of interaction between the Center with Belarusian organizations.
