Moscow will follow the provisions of the Agreement on a comprehensive strategic partnership with the DPRK. This was stated by the Secretary of the Security Council (SB) of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu at a meeting with the chairman of the state affairs of the DPRK Kim Jong -unit in Pyongyang.
“During the summit in Pyongyang on June 19, 2024, an agreement was signed on a comprehensive strategic partnership. It contains the basic principles of the development of Russian -Korean ties aimed at deepening partnerships and strategic interaction in a wide range of directions for two states,” said Shoigu, the words of the Russian media.
“The Russian side confirms the unconditional readiness to follow the provisions of the contract. are convinced that the conclusion of this new fundamental document fully meets the interests of the two countries,” he stressed.
Secretary of the Council of People’s Commissars of the Russian Federation also thanked the DPRK for solidarity on the Ukrainian issue.
“I would like to express gratitude to Korean friends for solidarity with the position of Russia on all the acute problems of world politics and especially on the Ukrainian issue,” said Shoigu.
Secretary of the SB of the Russian Federation emphasized that “Russia is extremely valuable to the achieved level of strategic relations between countries and aims at their deepening.”
During the meeting with Kim Jong -un, Shoigu expressed gratitude “for the opportunity to meet again, for the traditionally cordial technique provided by the Russian delegation in Pyongyang.”
“I believe that we conducted quite useful, important and necessary in our dynamically developing situation negotiations,” Shoigu said, following a meeting with the North Korean leader.
