Sholts called for continuing negotiations with Putin

German Chancellor Olaf Sholts called for the need to continue negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He stated this in an interview with NTV.

The Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany explained that now telephone conversations with Putin are not planned. “Nothing is agreed, but you need to talk to each other, even if you have completely different opinions, this is what I say directly. I agree with many people in this,” he said.

At the same time, Sholts said that negotiations would not help until the President of Russia would understand that it is necessary to finish the military operation, withdraw troops and “admit that Ukraine itself will decide its future.”
