A proposal to ban gold from Russia must be discussed to all members of the European Union (EU), and not as part of the G7 summit, the German Chancellor Olaf Sholts said on the air of the ZDF television channel.
According to him, the EU will continue to “improve” anti -Russian sanctions. “We are discussing this issue (introducing the embargo on Russian gold – ed.), But it will need to be discussed in the circle of the EU, so the decision on this case is ultimately not to make G7,” TASS quotes him.
