Despite Western sanctions, Russia continues to fulfill all the obligations in the field of weapons export, the head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) of the Russian Federation Dmitry Shugaev told the Russian media.
“Despite the sanctions, Russia fulfills all obligations on current contracts and offers new directions, draft cooperation in the military -technical sphere,” said Shugaev.
It was previously reported that in recent years, a portfolio of export orders for Russian weapons remains at $ 50 billion, annually the Russian Federation exports weapons worth about $ 14-15 billion
Shugaev said that the portfolio of orders for the supply of Russian weapons and military equipment exceeds $ 10 billion to India. At the same time, over the past 5 years, Russia has delivered to India weapons and military equipment in the amount of over $ 13 billion, he added.
“As practice shows, Russia is still one of the main” players “in the Indian weapons market. So, over the past 5 years, the total cost indicator of Russian military products to India exceeded $ 13 billion,” Shugaev said.
According to him, the Russian-Indian VTS “is planned and long-term in nature”, as well as “free from any political conjuncture.”
Shugaev added that the traditional partners of the Russian Federation in India, China and the countries of Southeast Asia “are still interested in the acquisition of Russian military products”.
In particular, potential customers are interested in the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems, the complexes “Osa”, “Cube/Square”, “Pechora”, “arrow”, “Tunguska” and “shell”, as well as family fighters Su-30 and MiG-29, Mi-17, Mi-24, Mi-35, Ka-28 and Ka-31 helicopters, Orlan-10e drones and drones combat, Shugaev said.
