Siemens Plans To Reduce More Than 6 Thousand

The German concern Siemens plans to reduce more than 6 thousand employees by 2027. Reductions are primarily affected by units specializing in the technology of automation of production and charging electric vehicles. This is stated in the message Siemens.

The company noted that they adjust production capacities in accordance with market conditions.

“Siemens Digital Industrial divisions work about 68,000 people around the world. The planned reduction will affect about 5,600 people,” the report said.

It is noted that 2600 dismissals will affect the production facilities of the concern in Germany. It is expected that the reductions will be completed by the end of the 2027 financial year.

In addition, a German concern plans to reduce another 450 jobs in a unit for charging electric vehicles, of which 250 falls on Germany.

The decrease in demand, mainly in China and Germany, as well as increased competitive pressure in key markets, significantly reduced the volume of orders and revenue in the industrial automation sector, which determined the need to adjust capacities, the concern said.
