Politics supported 221 parliamentarians. The head of the main opposition constitutional and democratic party Yoshihiko Noda also claimed to be the post of head of government. He received the votes of 160 deputies.
Voting took place after early elections that took place in Japan on October 27.
For the first time in 30 years since 1994, the prime minister was not elected during the first round of elections.
