In five months of this year, Turkey visited more than 299 thousand tourists on cruise liners. This was announced by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey Abdulkadir Uraloglu.
The Minister noted that in January -May 2023, the number of cruise liners arrived in Turkey increased by 43.1 percent compared to the same period last year, and the number of tourists by 114 percent.
According to Uralogl, cruise tourism in Turkey began to develop more and more with the opening of the Istanbul port “Galatiport” and the removal of restrictions on COVİD-19. “Investments in cruise tourism will continue. We are reaping the fruits of investments that attracted in this sphere for many years,” the minister said.
