Singing oppositionist on foot headed in Yerevan to overthrow Pashinian

Armenian singer and leader of the party “Voice of Nation” Mger Mesropyan (more famous as “Mger Armenia”) gave the start of nationwide movement, report Armenian media.

It is noted that the singing oppositionist along with two colleagues on foot is heading from Shurnach to Yerevan. Mesropyan intends to spend 15 days on the road, after which in the capital of Armenia, together with his supporters, will require the resignation of the operating government of the country led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“We are against the signing of a tripartite statement, according to which one-sided concessions are provided. We hope that the patriots actually join us, which is actually worried about the future of our country and the people,” wrote Mesropyan to Facebook.

Previously, he stated that he would take part in early parliamentary elections, but did not file documents in the CEC. Mesropyan positions itself as an oppositionist for both the current and former authorities.
