The situation at the site of the fire in the field of the Abay eastern part of Kazakhstan stabilized. This was announced by the chairman of the Fires of the Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergencies of Kazakhstan Nurbulat Derbisov.
“Currently, the situation was stabilized at the fire site. In the morning, 8 air sides and personnel of the involved services began to extinguish the fire. Additional forces of the Ministry of Defense were also involved. Fire extinguishing is complicated by a high temperature background, large burning area and wind gusts, places up to 10 m/s, ”said Derbisov, whose words quoted“ Kazinform ”.
According to him, aerovisual examinations are currently carried out by the first vice minister of ecology and vice minister for emergencies. “We are doing everything in order to localize the fire at present,” he added.
President Kasim-Zhomart Tokaev instructed the government to use all the technical and human resources available to the fire to counteract fires in the field of Abay, to prevent the extraction of the scale of the disaster and ensure the safety of citizens and their property.
Earlier, on the territory of the Batpaevsky forestry, there was a fire of trees on a preliminary area of 0.3 hectares. A helicopter was attracted to extinguish the fire. In addition, rescuers from three regions were sent to help in extinguishing a forest fire. The preliminary area of the fire is already more than 60,000 hectares.
Later, in addition to the fight against fire to the place of emergency, rescuers were sent from Almaty, Almaty, Karaganda regions and the Zhetysu region.
According to the Ministry of Emergencies, three forestry workers were killed, and 11 more search work is underway. 316 people were evacuated due to fire in the region. The government and the akimat of the region Abai were instructed to provide all the necessary assistance to the families of the dead.
