The actions of Russia in Ukraine give enough reason to conclude that Moscow incites to the genocide and makes atrocities aimed at the destruction of the Ukrainian people. This is stated in the report of the American Analytical Center for New Lines Institute for Strategy and the Canadian Human Rights Center named after Raul Wallenberg, CNN said on Friday, May 27, citing a copy of the document at his disposal.
Deutsche Welle writes that this is the first independent report on the likely genocide in Ukraine, prepared from the beginning of the war. More than 30 leading lawyers and experts in the field of research of genocide participated in its compilation. They indicated that Russia violated Articles 2 and 3 of the UN Convention on the prevention of the crime of genocide and punishment for it. As evidence, the compilers presented examples of mass killings of civilians, violent deportations and anti -Ukrainian rhetoric, used by senior officials of Russia. In particular, the report gives the words of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin that Ukraine does not have the right to exist as an independent state.
The authors of the document directly compare the situation in Ukraine with the genocide arranged by the army of the Republic of Serbian in the Bosnian city of Srebrenits in 1995, and urge world leaders to influence Russia, it has not yet been too late. Copies of this report are planned to be sent to parliaments, governments and international organizations around the world.
