Situation With Attacks Of Russian Federation In Northern Ukraine Tends To Exacerbate – Budanov

The situation with the attacks of the Armed Forces of Russia on Ukraine from the north is aggravated. This was stated by the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov.

“If I begin to answer this question, we still provoke a panic. Let’s say this: there are problems, they tend to exacerbate,” said Budanov, whose words are given by Ukrainian media.

According to him, “there is no disaster, but not to see problems will not work,” since Russian troops are attacking from the north now.

“When all two years shouted that there would be an attack from the north, we told everyone that this would not happen. There was nothing. At the moment when we said that there would be an attack from the north, all at once: maybe maybe will not be?

At the same time, the head of the GUR did not specify what directions in the north are talking about.

“I already told someone from the Western press: I will not have much good news this year, unfortunately,” he added.

Earlier, in May, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umarov said that against the backdrop of a new offensive in the Kharkov region, which began on May 10, the Russian Federation is preparing to open the front in the north.

The northern regions of Ukraine usually include Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Poltava, Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
