In the upcoming session of the UN Committee on the Protection of Labor Migrant Objectives (CTM), which will be held in Geneva from September 27 to October 8, will discuss the issue of the situation with them in Azerbaijan.
The agenda includes the impact of COVID-19 on working migrants and members of their families, the contribution of labor migrants to vital areas, including health, during a pandemic. As reports with reference to the CTM message, the border management system of Azerbaijan and the criminalization of illegal intersection, measures to combat human trafficking and the complex position of migrants and their families who do not have documents or permanent status are also discussed.
Session in Azerbaijan will be held October 4-5.
