AzerGold closed joint stock company held a meeting with representatives of Eti Bakır joint stock company, a subsidiary of Cengiz Holding, one of the largest private companies in Turkey.
The meeting noted the high level of friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries, the presence of great opportunities for expanding cooperation in the economic sphere, especially in the mining sector.
Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC Zakir Ibrahimov gave detailed information about the company’s activities, spoke about projects being implemented to develop the mining sector.
The Chairman of the Board noted that during 2021-2027 AzerGold CJSC plans to commission six more gold deposits, including the sulfide phase of the Chovdar gold deposit, as well as one polymetallic and four copper ore deposits.
Further, the Chairman of the Board of Eti Bakır Joint Stock Company Seref Cengiz gave detailed information about the company he heads, spoke about the company’s leading position in the copper mining and metallurgical industry in Turkey and the region.
Cengiz noted that the cooperation agreement between the Azerbaijani government and the Eti Bakir joint stock company, signed last month in Ankara within the framework of the Turkish-Azerbaijani business forum, will make an important contribution to the partnership in the mining sector. The Turkish guest announced his readiness to support the development of copper deposits and the development of the metallurgical industry.
Zakir Ibrahimov noted that the Karabakh region, liberated as a result of the victory of our army under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, has great economic potential, and the available resources open up wide opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the mining sector. The Chairman of the Board noted that AzerGold, as a state-owned company, is always ready to cooperate with Turkish companies in this area.
At the meeting, a wide exchange of views took place on the study of advanced technologies used in the mining sector, geological exploration.
