Slovakia is ready to transfer fighters to Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense of Slovakia proposes to transfer fighters to Kyiv. This statement was made by the head of the country’s defense department, Yaroslav Nadi, reports Reuters.

The politician noted that Slovakia now does not use fighters. “We can either sell MiG -29 fighters, or put them in Ukraine, where they can really help,” he said.

At the same time, Nadi specified that the decision on this issue has not yet been made.

It was previously reported that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asked Slovakia to transfer his supersonic fighters to the country MiG-29. The official request sounded on the fields of the European Union summit.

At the end of January, Yaroslav Nadi already stated that Bratislava was ready to transfer MiG-29 to Kyiv.
