Slutsky: Ukraine is not ready for negotiations with Russia

Ukraine is still not ready for negotiations with Russia, including the UN site, said TASS head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, a member of the delegation of the Russian Federation in negotiations with Ukraine Leonid Slutsky.

“Ukraine is still not ready to negotiate peace, all the statements [the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry] Kuleba – a smoke curtain,” said Slutsky in response to a request to comment on the statements of UN Secretary General Antoniu Guterrisha about readiness for intermediation in “peaceful summit “previously proposed by Kuleboy.

Slutsky emphasized that it was the Ukrainian side that left the Istanbul negotiation process, choosing the path of escalation.

At the same time, he noted that the “ball is still on the side of Kyiv”, and the goals of “special operations” remain the same – denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine.

The head of the Duma committee also indicated that “while the entire NATO block is fighting against Russia in Ukraine, any so -called peaceful formulas with Bankova will be ineffective.”

Earlier, Kuleba said that Kyiv intends to hold by the end of February the “peace summit” at the UN site with the participation of the General Secretary of the World Organization Antoniu Guterres.
