ABB Bank expands its participation in the Self-employment program aimed at improving the social welfare of low-income families. From October to December, the Bank managed to assist the assistance necessary to create a small business of 22 low-income families living in different regions of the country. With the support of Bank ABV, these families were able to open livestock and sheep farms and began to engage in agriculture.
The program implemented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population provides low-income families with industrial or service equipment in accordance with their business plans. The ABB Bank supports the self-employment of vulnerable groups of the population both within the framework of the relevant program of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and within the Memorandum signed between the Ministry, the Central Bank and the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan.
The purpose of the program is the creation of conditions for these families to start small business or the development of an existing one. The uniqueness of this program is that it is instead of providing cash, oriented exclusively on business development and permanent employment. ABB is actively involved in this program, taking as a basis for the development of small and medium-sized business development strategy, as well as the principles of corporate social responsibility. The list of these families is provided by the State Employment Service.
