After several days of moderate, warm weather in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, from January 8, the weather will change, precipitation, snow and wet snow are expected, the director of the Hydrometeorological forecasts of Gulshad Mammadova said.
She noted that on the peninsula the northeastern wind in places will intensify from the evening of the 7th to noon January 8.
Air temperature in comparison with the previous days will drop by 10-12 degrees, at night on January 10-11 the air temperature will decrease to 2 degrees of frost, during the day-about 0 degrees.
Starting from the northern and western regions of Azerbaijan, from the evening of January 7 to January 12, the weather will change, precipitation variables, wet snow in places with the transition to snow, including intensive.
G. Mamedova noted that the western wind will periodically intensify.
Air temperature in comparison with the previous days will drop 10-12 degrees, at night it will be 0-5 degrees of frost, during the day-up to 4 degrees of heat, in mountainous areas at night-10-15, during the day-5-8 degrees of frost.
In connection with the expected precipitation and frosty weather on the roads, ice is expected.
