Azerbaijan exported 74 percent of oil obtained in the country for world markets for the Baku-Tbilisi-Jahan pipeline. This was announced by the first vice-president of the State Oil Company (SOCAR) Hoshbakht Yusifzade during his speech at the Baku Energy Forum.
According to him, 484 million of 654 million tons of oil, extracted today in Azerbaijan, is exported according to BTD.
Yusifzade noted that since the development of the oil and gas fields of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshi oil and gas blocks (ACH), located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, 573 million tons of oil were obtained before May 1, 2023.
To date, 208 billion cubic meters of gas have been obtained from the ACH deposits block, he said.
According to Yusifzad, more than 340 million tons of oil mined to ACH, fell on the profitable oil of Azerbaijan.
