South Korea considers the possibility of sanctions against Russia, but excludes military assistance to Ukraine, reported to the Renhap agency with reference to the “high-ranking representative” of the South Korean presidential administration.
“Watching how the situation will develop in the future, what influence will have on us, we will see what we can do. Military assistance or direction of troops to this (consideration of measures – ed.) Does not belong,” said the source .
According to him, the answer will depend on how far the situation goes, as well as in which direction will develop, what will be the reaction of other states.
Answering the question of whether the US asked South Korea to join the sanctions against Russia, the representative of the administration noted that the Americans were discussing the possibility of foreign trade and financial sanctions against Russia with their allies.
