The Foreign Ministry of South Korea called the Japanese diplomat to protest against the resumption of Tokyo’s claims to the South Korean Islands Toktok in the Sea of Japan, Renhap reports.
Director General of the South Korean Foreign Ministry for Asia and the Pacific Ocean with Min Jung, called the acting deputy head of the Mission of the Embassy of Japan in Seoul Mondo Yamamoto to express the protest after the publication of the annual report of the White Book of the Ministry of Defense.
It is noted that the 19th in a row in its report Japan declares its claims to the islands.
The islands of Toktok (Japanese name – Takeshima) are located in the western part of the Japanese Sea. After World War II, South Korea controls the island, but Japan considers them its territory.
