South Korea spent first time in 6 years at borders of DPRK

The army of South Korea for the first time in the last six years conducted exercises near the border with North Korea. The maneuvers took place with combat shooting.

This is stated in the message of the press service of the Armed Forces of South Korea.

The exercises took place in the provinces of Kanvondo and Kengido, in the demilitarized zone, which shares both Korea.

According to the statement, 140 shots from self -propelled howitzers were held as part of the exercises.

On June 26, the Marine Infantry of South Korea for the first time in seven years conducted military shooting exercises at the islands in the Yellow Sea near the border with the DPRK.
