South Korea Will Tighten Measures To Combat Covid-19 Due To Growth In Cases Of Disease

In South Korea, current prevention measures to combat Covid-19 are tightened against the background of an increase in the number of cases of disease throughout the country. This is reported by the South Korean agency Yonhap.

Korean Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) plans to tighten measures in order to control the growing number of cases of Covid-19.

The authorities said that they will expand the response group to improve the monitoring of the situation, analysis of infections and management of the treatment process.

The authorities also plan to meet with specialists on August 14, as they expect an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases throughout the country by the end of August.

It was reported that in the first week of August, the number of patients who contacted South Korea with a diagnosis of Covid -19 increased to 861, and in four weeks six times.

According to the authorities, the process of vaccination of persons over 65 against the Covid-19 will continue in October.
